The Big Stomp – March 2020

Listen to March 2020's edition of our live radio talk show

We’re pleased to announce that the latest episode of The Big Stomp is now available to download and stream on all good podcast platforms. We’ve even put a link in this blog post for you to download straight away and get stomping.

This episode was recorded on Thursday 26th March 2020 and hosted by Andrew “Raggedyman” Watton-Davies. This time out, he was joined once again by Redhead’s Rambling’s own Lizzie Barnes, Reel History’s Jenna Pateman. Iain Boulton, from Trivial Titans and Film Roar, also joins the show as a brand new panelist for the episode.

The March 2020 edition of The Big Stomp live is dominated by the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19 with the panel first looking at the impact the coronavirus has had on the UK convention scene with many events cancelling and postponing – but what will be the impacting effects for the Traders and Artists?

Following on, the panel discusses the impact on the film industry. Cinemas have been closed down and studios are in uncertain new territory. One way studios have been trying to keep going is bringing their cinema releases digitally than on the big screen. Could this change cinema forever?

Finally, a light of good news for Disney fans in the UK is the launch of Disney+. It’s got everything you need, right? What’s missing? What’s stopping some fans signing up? And what is the deal with the throttling release schedule of The Mandalorian?

We’d love to know your thoughts as always so please leave a comment below.

The Big Stomp returns for another live broadcast on Thursday 30th April 2020.
